About Belgian and French Ale
Belgian and French Ales are light yellow to toasted brown in color. Beers of this kind have a citrusy aroma, a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, and a well-rounded taste with hints of fruit and spice. Ales of this kind are known for their soft malt flavor and spices, which may vary from licorice to cinnamon. Hop flavors are rarely present and these beers finish crisp and clean. Belgian and French Ales pair well with softer meats like lamb, chicken, turkey and pork.
