Phoenix Pale Ale

had this beer on cask, great beer very smooth with a great taste. would order again.

This wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. Decent hop flavor, but nothing complex. I think it tasted better in the can than it did after I poured it into a pint glass. I'd happily drink it again if someone gave me one, but I dont think I'd ever buy it.

Poured into a pint glass. Thanks to psudrew for this one. 3.5 A: Pours a clear orange amber color. Only one finger of creamy head with less than average retention and touches of lacing. 4.0 S: Overall pretty clean with some lightly bready malts. Hops are herbal and grapefruity. 4.0 T: Again pretty clean with a touch of breadiness and graininess. Soft, but noticeable hop bitterness. Herbal hops with grapefruit and pine. Good. 4.0 M: Lighter medium to medium body. Good moderate amount of carbonation, but could maybe use a bit more. Slight creaminess and very smooth. 4.0 D: Simple and clean brew. Nice reliable beer, nothing great, but not bad at all. Certainly not a complex beer; I suspect limited hops. Certainly sessionable.

Good cheap beer...in a can

Darker than a normal pale ale, with more malt and less hops than I expected. Not something I would typically go after, but I'll gladly drink it if that's what you've got.
