Tasty pilsner
Poured into a pils glass. 3.0 A: Clear golden wheat color. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention is just shy of average and just the slightest touch of lacing is left. 3.0 S: Nose is pretty boring, even for the style, but it is pleasant enough. Grainy and lightly biscuity malts with a touch of neutral sweetness. Very faint floral hoppiness. 3.0 T: Slightly more interesting that the nose, but still not a lot of flavor. Clean grainy malts with a soft balancing bitterness and the slightest bit of earthy hops. 3.5 M: Light body. Good moderate carbonation. Really easy to drink. 3.5 D: This beer would be really easy to pound one after another. It's super clean and easy to drink, but the downside is that there isn't much going on. Pours a clear light golden color with a finger head that falls to a thin layer of foam. the aroma is very pleasant slight sulfur, very light crisp aroma with some floral hops in the back ground. Slightly spicy. The Flavor brings on that classic graham cracker like malt character that is followed up by a firm hop bitterness that helps finish of the beer with its slightly bitter and very dry ending. Aftertaste is slightly sweet and has some more of that graham cracker quality. The mouthfeel has a nice crisp quality to it and has a light body. The carbonation is medium light and overall this is a very nice easy drinking pilsner.
Nothing better after a long, hot day of hiking in Big Sur
To cut to the chase, I must of got a bad bottle that wasn't handled well. A lot of stale flavor in there. I willing to give it another chance.
I love the bottle art. Golden color Clean, slightly metallic aroma. Some malty sweetness and (maybe) a hint of fruit. The flavor is nicely balanced between simple barley and noble hops with moderate/high carbonation. It goes down so smooth that all the flavor evaporates and leaves me craving more. Maybe, I'm out of practice (duh) but this beer is pleasant to the point that I just want to enjoy it. Its not a flashy beer but that's not what a GOOD beer needs. I don't usually like pilsners but I love this one.
The missus would love this one. Clean and crisp. Light hops and refreshing pils finish.
Some really great pils flavors here, but is unbalanced by a lack of any real pleasant hoppiness. A caramel-sweet pilsner, this lingers too long on my tongue to be a choice lager.
Nice, clean taste
Great little beer w/ mellow hop notes
sweet and floral pilsner with bitter undertones
Fantastic session beer. Full flavored for such a drinkable pilsner. Always a go-to beer.
Where does North Coast get off putting together such a beautifully balanced, flavorful brew that has the body of a light beer even though it isn't? Avoid it at all costs unless you like that sort of thing. Yum.
Tried at Fish Bar in Chicago. Quality!
Hoppy smell and taste at beginning but tasty would be nice with a steak or red meat
Milky appearance. Sweet flavor. Great session beer.
Great beer with a perfect combination of flavors
Damn fine. So far my second favorite easy drinking, tasty, summer brew right behind Upslope's Craft Lager. Slightly bitter, always crisp and light. Once again, North Coast comes through. They're fast becoming my top out-of-state brewery.
Good anytime drinking beer. Excellent for quenching thirst. Nice and crisp with a dry subtle hop finish. Not necessarily a beer you'd go raving about.
Full bodied, golden color, nicely hopped.
