A great seasonal summer beer. Great for sharing, ice cold, on hot days.
A refreshing and light summer time ale. Brought some to a bbq and they flew through them.
Had a slightly medicinal aftertaste.

I think I would rather NOT know that this has beets in it. Olives, fruits, herbs, maybe even certain interesting insects would be OK, but beets........ anyway, this beer was refreshing and citrussy and pleasant to drink on an August night while watching the Sun set into the Guff of Mexico..but as my wife said,"kind of common".
There was one detail that couldn't escape my notice before tasting this beer and it certainly had me prepared for some weirdness. This otherwise fairly typical pale ale is brewed with beets. Yes, beets. Interesting, the beet-ness was only unquestioningly present was in the color. This clear beer has a decidedly reddish hue. The beer in the glass, when sitting innocently on the table, looks mostly copper with a reddish suggestion, almost the color of iced tea. But hold it up to the light and it's almost pink. A thin, white head didn't last very long. The aroma was malty sweet and carried no hint of beets. The flavor was much the same although I did pick up some underlying muddiness in the flavor - not in a bad way, just that dirtiness that some of the beefier ales have. Let's not get too hung up on that aspect of it. The overall impression is that of a bright, refreshing beer. I could see enjoying two or three of these in a session.
nice presentation, fell short on long term drinkability. one was ooookay, two is pushing it, a whole six pack is dreadful
Beet red look and taste. Very refreshing and crisp finish, but 16 oz pour was a chore to drink for me. Somewhat sweet and just not for me.
A red colored beer. Poured hard and a thick head appeared, disappeared quickly. Sweet aroma, not anything special. Good flavor balance, leaning toward a sweet side of the beets. Slick feeling.
Beet color but a nice drinking light beer. Good taste and great flavor
Had from a bottle. I liked the reddish color, but that was about as far as it went. Don't know if it was the beets used here or not, but the taste did nothing for me and it was a tough job finishing.
Bready slightly sweet aroma. Reddish copper hue. Taste is bready at first and then turns to a sweet floral kind of taste at the end. Mouthfeel: slightly slick feeling in the mouth, medium light body. Overall: easy drinking summer beer.
Got on draught. Nice light red color. Malty taste, with something citrus in the aroma. Good to try, light in body and very drinkable
A little difficult to get past the pink hue. Made with beet juice but it doesn't really seem to pass along anything to the taste
Disliked with extreme prejudice.
I'm not sure about "vegetable" but it's definitely citrusy. The aroma is like being hit in the face with and orange. Crisp. On the lighter side of body. Definitely a good summer beer.
great beer for non beer drinkers, but once you're into beer it just seems lacky
Admittedly this beer in a bottle isn't the greatest, but from the tap, it's a whole different beast. The beer goes down easily and tastes great, and who can ignore the color? yowzah!
Favorite summer beer.
Surprisingly clean and refreshing! Smooth and easy going down :)
