Loved this beer! Very similar to Kwak with an underlying tatse that seems usual in la trappe, maybe the yeast. either way, very delicious and unique!

Pours a burnt orange with a pale head that dissipates quickly leaving behind a nice lacing around the rim. Fragrant aromas of caramel malt, sweet spices and baked fruit with just a hint of alcohol. The flavors are quite dense and somewhat sweet with a frothy mouthfeel. A slight hop presence is felt in the aftertaste. A very good beer.

Robust Belgian-alish flavor. Very smooth.

This could be the perfect beer. Strong flavor. Subtle sweetness. All mixed with that rarified status as a monk-crafted libation.
