I love everything about this delicious stout. Smooth, earthy goodness, roasted boldness, thick creamy head. Goes down easy, instant relaxation and good times with family and friends. A classic passtime.

The last time I tried Guinness I absolutely hated it. But, I wasn't even old enough to legally drink & I think the only other beer I'd had up to that point was Bud, Bud Light, & Miller Lite. Still not my favorite, but I'll happily drink a pint with anyone who wants to buy me one.

Just ok. Too bitter to have the character I prefer. After an Old Peculiar, it could have been a pbr!

Great aroma and complex, balanced taste.. however, the lack of gas makes it taste like flat beer.

it's great in Ireland. Here in the states from a grocery store, it's undrinkable.

Poured into a pint glass. A: Pours a transparent dark brown with red highlights. Has an uber-creamy off-white head which shows no sign of ever dissipating. This does not seem natural. Lacing coats the glass like a boss. N: The nose is very subtle. Raisin, root beer and some barely noticeable chocolate and coffee notes. T: Root beer and very subtle raisin upfront followed by rusty metal and watery caramel mid-palate. Finishes nutty along with some brown sugar. M: Light-medium bodied, watery and clean. O: THE session stout that everyone claims is so thick and a "meal in itself." Well, good people, these are all just myths. There's a reason why Irish people drink these all day...because they can. They have a low ABV, the same as Miller Lite and are highly drinkable although very bland in flavor.
