Great Tasting easy drinkable Black Lager. One of my favorites!
very tasty dark beer. slightly bitter towards the end
Solid roasty toasty malt flavor with a little bite. Quite smooth and palatable, as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised it is as tasty and full flavored as it is without heaviness. I agree with the others on the solid value in this drinkable brew.
Tasty black lager. Literally a session beer like advertised. A good beer you can drink through a full session without killing your budget. Tasty craft beer from an awesome brewery, with a budget price.
nice, smooth flavor and in a stubby to boot.
Don't let the name fool you. This does not drink like a "black" beer at all. Excellent.
A: Well, it certainly is black, with very little light getting through leaving brown highlights. Crisp white head on this one. S: I get a little roasted malt mixed with a slight scent of toffee. All is incredibly faint. T: I taste nothing but roasted coffee, but its light and incredibly refreshing. M: It is light on the palate, smooth, and low carbonation. D: Quite quaffable.
Dark, but not heavy. Very drinkable.
A friend ordered this and shared some with me. Nice, black and silky look and mouthfeel. Almost no hop aroma, they were there to balance the sweetness of the malt. We detected hints of molasses, chocolate, and licorice. This beer is way better than Sam Adams Black Lager.
tastes like molasses. nice.
Nice and refreshing. Compliments lawn work well :-)
Great all day beer. Not to hoppy, bitter or heavy. Could sit around all day with it
Great value on a very drinkable dark beer... Highly reccomend!
One of my favorites. And I love playing 'Rock, Paper Scissors' when I open one up!
Good things come in small packages! Little Session beers are GREAT! Full Sail hit a homerun with this beer. They market it as a dark beer that doesn't drink like a meal--I'd say that's about right. If you steer clear of dark lagers because of the heaviness, try the Black Lager--it will be a pleasant surprise.
tasty black lager.
For the price it is a great beer, just a little too sweet for me after I drink a couple but I prefer more hoppy beers
a good quality session beer at a good value. nice roasty notes from the darker malts spruce up an otherwise boring american lager.
rock
This is a very surprising beer. dark brown in color with a tan head, easy aroma. Roasty goodness without the heaviness of a porter or stout.
