Dark and smooth, strong
Pours with a thick head. Aroma of yeast and banana. Very dark. Light to medium mouth feel. Taste rich and complex. Slightly toasted malts. Not very bitter. Clean, crisp finish.
Classic.
One of the first Belgian ales I ever tried. Very tatsy
This beer made me love beer many years ago. Good stuff.
Belgium=perfect beer
Slightly bitter and darker. Fairly smooth.
Really nice beer. This is what I consider to be a typical trippel. Slight sweetness, awesome head on pour. Good stuff. Not cheap but good stuff.
Great caramel taste, very flavorful but light. I prefer the Premiere, but this is a fantastic beer as well.
I had one that was mouth sex! It was so gooooood!! but I have yet to find another with the same flavor... That one was without a doubt the best beer I ever had by far.
Fucking awesome.
Need to age
Very good Trappist, slightly sweet and a hint of licorice. I've now had blue, red, and yellow labels. I would say red is my favorite. But all three are quality brews.
This is a very good beer, but not one that I'll go out of my way to seek out in the future. Huge head pour, cola drink color, minimal carbonation yet not flat, tastes primarily of black licorice and toffee. I've now gotten the Chimay white, red, and blue curiosity out of my system. Of the three, I liked the white best.
not sure what i expected. but pleasantly suprised. little sweet but not overpoweringly. can't quite figure out the tastes. but i am a beer rookie.
Wow! This one is a game changer for me. Superior quality and flavor!
One of my favorites but be prepared to pay. One of the first I had in Brussels.
Deep brown color with spicy aroma and taste.
A well known classic of the style, some flatness in the flavor as a result of travel, unavoidable but noticable.
What a Belgium beer is supposed to taste like
