This was an incredibly good bourbon brew. Can definitely catch the notes of cherry and bourbon. It all comes together so well. I wish I grabbed a few more bottles before it was gone.

Fantastic bitter yet smooth texture. Zesty yet balanced bite to it. Great figgy, cherry, currant aroma with a touch of tabacco flavor. Overall a great ale experience.

Got a taster of this wonderful beer. It pours a deep amber color and has a wonderful Belgian aroma that lingers in the glass. A wonderful carbonation level provides extra zest and spice to a tremendous beer.

Poured into a goblet. Batch 2-2009, Bottle # 4499 of 11248. 4.0 A: Hazy medium brown color. Two plus fingers of creamy beige head with pretty good retention and moderate lacing. 4.0 S: Dark fruits with fig, raisin, cherries and currant. Light toastiness. Belgian yeast clove spiciness. Bourbon show up about as strong as everything else and competes with it. Still, not bad. 3.5 T: After sipping this, I've found that I wish the bourbon barrel aging isn't there. The bourbon masks a lot of the subtleties that the quad beneath holds. Cherries come through big time and is very noticeable, but only hints of raisin, fig, and tobacco are penetrating the bourbon shield. Don't get me wrong, the bourbon itself is a nice taste, but the quad flavors aren't big enough like in an imperial stout to override the bourbon. 4.0 M: Medium body. Good spritzy carbonation in moderate amount. No problems here. 4.0 D: Seems like I want to keep the bourbon out of my Belgians. In stouts and barleywines it works great. Hell, even my boubon weizenbock is good, but the beauty of a quad is the great things the yeast does. The yeast can't shine in a hostile bourbon environment. Wonderful beer, im typically not a bourbon fan but the process that went into this beer is well worth every ounce. Strong bourbon punch at the start with a sweet, cherry, surgery finish. Lovely color in it's pour.

Although I love cask conditioned ales in general, I'm starting to suspect I don't care so much for the use of Whiskey barrels. Clearly discernible bourbon flavors on the back end.

An amazingly complex and tasty quad. As it warms, it almost turns into a sour beer, with hints of sour cherries and wood. Amazing beer.

Belgium is in full force with this beer. Candied sugar and sweet malt are what this beer is all about. Awesome flavor, easy drinking, and enough alcohol make this beer great for aging and great for drinking right now.

Big vanilla nose. Bourbon notes very apparent. Subtle cherry. Strong alcohol warmth. Residual sweetness at the end was cloying when it was too cold, but in balance when it warmed. Very nice. Bottle I got was #7676 / 11248.

Cloudy orange, amber, almost golden color with a bit of tannish head. Poured into a duvel goblet. The immediate smell is of cherries and vanilla. Taste is fruity and creamy. Delightful mouthfeel. There is a definite woody flavor present.
