I seriously hope this beer wasn't designed to take like this. All I'm getting is roasty water. This is the second dud from Bison too.

Smooth and easy to drink. So not super duper flavor but sometimes you want that.

Nice chocolate stout. Has a bitter roasty flavor. Not a great beer but very drinkable. I was curious how the organic ingredients would play a role. Not bad if they can afford to brew it.

Pitch black with a medium-dark brown head. Smells like stale coffee and... dirt? Not entirely pleasant aroma. Creamy mouth feel with appropriately low carbonation. Flavor is over the top roasty, more like a dry stout. Burnt bread/coffee taste, with a sugary sweet background. The problem is that the two flavors work against each other instead of together, so it tastes like adding sugar to stale McDonald's coffee. It isn't really as bad as I'm making it sound, but I honestly think this recipe could benefit from a reduction in harsh roasted malts and residual sweetness and an increase in residual non-sweet dextrins, followed by some aging.

Fantastic toasty stout. Tons of flavor, very complex. Starts with a coffee flavor and ends with a satisfying bitter sweet chocolate flavor. Probably more like 4.5 stars. I love this one.

I had this at a movie theatre and man was it good to sip on. The chocolate is not too forward, but it is number one. Coffee is next, smooth and ending in the lightly alcoholic finish expected from great beer. Really tasty. Get your hands on some if you can.

Agree with others -- not getting a ton of "chocolate," especially without letting the bottle warm up a little. However, I think this is a problem with the name moreso than a problem with the beer, which pours nicely and has a nice malty feel to it.

Nothing to write home about. Roasty, yet not overpowering. Chocolate didn't really come through for me. Also it could've been a little creamier in the mouth feel dept.

Admittedly and decidedly bitter, mostly at the finish. It's difficult to cut through roasty bitterness to the cocoa until halfway through the bottle.

Metallic (iron/blood) odor, bitter finish. Not particularly rich for a stout.

Really nice full bodied stout. Good hints of chocolate and coffee.
