Light and citrusy. Seems like a session beer but it ain't. Laces nicely. Love it.
No way does this have an IBU OF 75
Nice refreshing brew.
Poured into a snifter. 4.0 A: Clear light orange color. One and a half fingers of white, dense froth head. Retention is average and a decent sized ring of lacing is left. 4.5 S: Surprisingly jampacked with hop aroma. Quite floral with lots of citrus and.... watermelon? Orange, candied orange, and overripened pineapple. Quite clean with just a touch of neutral maltiness. Very nice. 4.0 T: The taste isn't as explosive as the nose, but it's still quite good. Very low bitterness and TONS of watermelon. I can't believe how much watermelon there is and no I'm not reviewing their watermelon beer. Again plenty of orange, a bit sugary, and sweetened pineapple juice. The malts are reserved and only serve to add a touch of balance to the hop flavor. 4.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Extremely creamy for the body. Well done. 4.5 D: I went into this not expecting a whole lot, but this is unequivically a great brew. Solid all around and light enough to put more than a few down in a sitting. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 11-01-2011 23:57:16
a tasty IPA in a go-anywhere can! perfect for the beer lover (or alcoholic) on the go. Well hopped with the bitter varieties, this one tends towards the hop profile of a bitter american ipa or an english ipa (but an english ipa with balls). the malts are understated in the mix, due to the bittering hops.
just picked up a 6... amazinnnggggg ipa going to finish them all tonight.... prob my favorite ipa
sweet and malty IPA. Not overly hoppy. very drinkable and citrusy. this would be a great summer beer
Not well balanced
Solid as (almost) always from @21stamendment
Big malt balance on this one - very smooth for an IPA. Hops contribute a distinct pine and grapefruit quality. One I'm definitely keeping in mind.
A malt forward IPA. There is no real bitterness or even preceived bitterness that you would expect in an IPA. This is a very good beer but the hop character that a hop head would be looking for gets lost in the malt. The hop character that you do get varies from light pine to light citrus.
fantastic. ruby red grapefruit and an almost creamy mouth feel. wonderful.
Pale amber, decent white head. No hop aroma, strong grainy aroma. The same comes through in the taste. I could see this character as appropriate for other styles, but it's flat out inappropriate for an IPA. Outside of the bitterness, I got no hops at all. And no real malt character, just graininess. I'm sincerely hoping this was a bad can, and pretty sure it was anything but fresh. Everything is appropriate for the style, but not spectacular, except for that smell and taste.
Bravo. If I didn't pour this myself, I wouldn't have known it came from a can. My only qualm is that that it's not as hoppy as I like.
This is an amazing IPA...from a can!
Amazing. Just amazing. Amazing.
was incredibly surprised by how good this was coming out of a can! definitely helping to nullify my reluctanct for canned craft beer!
quite hoppy but not nearly as bitter/dark as two hearted. love the can and label
Nice golden color. Aroma reminds of liptons lemon ice tea. Taste is wonderful on a hot day.
Floral hoppiness and nice amount of malt
